Welcome to the Liverpool Foot Centre. Our main work centres around the diagnosis and treatment of adult foot and ankle conditions including:

  • Painful bunions, hammer toes and callosities
  • Arthritic conditions of the foot and ankle
  • Sports injuries not responding to physiotherapy
  • Previous unsuccessful surgery
  • Complications of diabetic feet
  • Medico-legal Reports

The Centre opened in 2001 and is directed by Chris Walker, Consultant in Trauma and Orthopaedic surgery, specialising in foot and ankle surgery. He works with Physiotherapists, Podiatrists and Orthotists to provide care for all problems related to the ankle and foot.

Quality of diagnosis and treatment is our aim. Whatever your problem, we will endeavour to provide you with the information you need to make the right decisions about yourself.

COVID 19 Pandemic

During this difficult time, patients still have problems and need help and advice. Chris Walker undertakes video consultations, telephone consultations and, where appropriate and required, face to face consultations (with PPE) at The Bone and Joint Centre, Spire Liverpool Hospital.

We have implemented a series of safety measures to help protect our patients and colleagues from the potential risk of COVID-19. We’ve created ‘patient pathway journeys’ for your visit, with clear signage throughout our hospitals to help guide you on your allocated journey.

To help minimise the potential risk in our hospitals and help you feel safe, all patients and colleagues will be screened at the entrances of all sites. We’ll be checking temperature and for any key symptoms of COVID-19. Only patients that are undergoing surgery will be provided with a COVID-19 test. Our colleagues are regularly tested for COVID-19 and wear appropriate PPE
